I am learning FMQ and ruler work for the first time with this series, and it is very well taught. I have two questions, after I saw the straight line show and tell video.
    1. When you did the horizontal quilting of the first quilt you showed, was any vertical quilting needed to stabilize the batting in that direction?
    2. You discussed “outlining” in your description of another quilt, and the need to outline to allow for traveling and consistency. Is it preferred for each section of piecing be outlined, or the entire block, or the block sections?

Thank you. I am off to try multiple straight lines in a 1/2 square triangle.
