Sound Waves
I developed Sound Waves to highlight stunning modern fabric. The pattern uses an entire fat quarter with no waste, so it’s great for quilters who don‘t like leftovers at the end of a project.
This course includes both the piecing and quilting tutorials for this quilt. A quilting only course is available at this link.
NOTE: This PDF pattern is required for this course. The pattern is available for $2 OFF through a link available in the supply list, which you will have access to after you enroll in the course. It will be available for download immediately after purchase.
But since we do use absolutely every inch of the fat quarter, I recommend you make sure you have some extra fabric if you are prone to mistakes so you have some wiggle room if you have a miscut.
The piecing is simple with easy straight seams. The fat quarter strips are cut on the length of fabric, which means there is minimal stretching and the rows fit together without much fuss. A design wall or spare bed is helpful when determining the layout of this quilt, along with blank address labels to keep track of your pieces and rows.
