Seeing Stars
Seeing Stars combines my two favorite blocks, the sawtooth star and log cabin.
We are using four-at-a-time no-waste flying geese, which is fast and the most accurate way I know of to make flying geese. We’re also using the Marti Michell method for cutting log cabin strips on the length of fabric which is less stretchy than the width of fabric.
This course includes both the piecing and quilting tutorials for this quilt. A quilting only course is available at this link.
NOTE: This PDF pattern is required for this course. The pattern is available for $2 OFF through a link available in the supply list, which you will have access to after you enroll in the course. It will be available for download immediately after purchase.
Using those methods, plus pressing our seams open, means you’ll have log cabin blocks that turn out the right size, and don’t get super wonky.
