Rainstorm
I designed Rainstorm to look like layers of rock and sediment that have shifted and slanted over time. It’s my favorite kind of pattern, one that looks a lot more complicated than it really is.
NOTE: This PDF pattern is required for this course. The pattern is available for $2 OFF through a link available in the supply list, which you will have access to after you enroll in the course. It will be available for download immediately after purchase.
We’re going to create a simple strip pieced unit, cut it apart and sew it back together on a 45-degree angle with some sashing in between to create the slanted look. Just follow the layout diagram to get everything lined up correctly, square it up when you’re done and you’ll have a fabulous quilt.
