Perfect Curves & Straight Lines with Rulers – Nightshade
I wanted to do something special with Nightshade, our latest Stashin’ with Stephanie fat quarter quilt pattern that features lots of squares.
This course ONLY includes the quilting tutorial for this quilt. It is included as part of the pattern course at this link.
One of my go-to ways to make the quilt piecing stand out is to quilt the background with a different texture than the fat quarter fabrics.
For Nightshade I chose to quilt curves within the fat quarter fabrics, and straight lines in the background. I love the texture the combo makes.
In this course I cover how to use circle rulers to create perfect curves, figure out a path where you have minimal thread breaks, and use straight rulers to create perfectly straight lines and follow the markings on the rulers to create consistent spacing.
