Interlocking El Dorado Full Line Stencil
Feathers are one of the most intimidating free motion quilting designs to master and for years I tried and failed to quilt them. That is until I found the Interlocking El Dorado stencil from Full Line Stencil, and now it is one of my favorite stencils. It was the first stencil that allowed me to actually quilt a feather.
NOTE: This stencil and a pounce pad are required for this course. The stencil is available for 10% off through a link available in the supply list, which you will have access to after you enroll in the course. It will be shipped to you as soon as possible.
I had tried all kinds of methods to quilt feathers. I took a class from Angela Walters, doodled constantly, practiced on actual fabric, and it just never clicked.
But the very first time I tried to follow the Interlocking El Dorado Stencil, I quilted perfect feathers. This stencil is the perfect combination of feathers and swirls so you can start off with an easy to master swirl, then quilt a few feathers, and then go back to the swirl. The combination, plus having clear lines to follow, meant I was able quilt feathers for the very first time.
