Two Different Ways to Quilt Undulation

This is the first time we’re offering two different ways to quilt the same quilt, and both make the quilt stand out.
This course ONLY includes the quilting tutorials for this quilt. Background Filler & Waves is included as part of the pattern course at this link.
In both quilting methods, you get to see a quilting play-by-play as I talk through what I am doing and why as you see me quilt in real time on a Go Pro camera. For Combining Rulerwork & Double Loops, we also offer bonus content where you can watch real-time footage of me quilting on the longarm, with no commentary.
Background Filler & Waves
The first time I quilted undulation, I used a series of wavy lines in the background, working my way from the block corner to the rectangle corners of each log cabin strip. The result is an absolutely stunning background filler that looks like rays filling up a large plus, but it was super simple to execute.
I then used large undulating waves throughout the fat quarter halves of the block to help accentuate the wavy design created by the block layout. You can see how I chose my density to match the density created by the background filler.
And the best part, both stitches are just variations on a wavy line, a super simple beginner free motion stitch.
