Creating a Custom Quilted Look with Wavy Lines – Afternoon Picnic
I love creating a custom look with my quilting, but I don’t always have the time to create a super fancy stitch. In those cases, I often go to the wavy line stitch.
In Afternoon Picnic I use the wavy line to quilt chevron waves in the background, then switch threads and quilt diamond waves in the blocks.
This course ONLY includes the quilting tutorial for this quilt. It is included as part of the pattern course at this link.
The result is a subtle difference in the direction of the lines and color of the thread that helps separate the blocks from the background, highlight both the fabric and quilt design.
And the best part is the wavy line quilting stitch it not hard to master.
