Blooming Star
Blooming Star, is one of my favorite kinds of quilts … one that looks like it is a lot harder to sew than it really is. With strip-pieced diamonds and no Y-seams, the top goes together fairly quickly and without a lot of fuss.
This course includes both the piecing and quilting tutorials for this quilt. A quilting only course is available at this link.
NOTE: This PDF pattern is required for this course. The pattern is available for $2 OFF through a link available in the supply list, which you will have access to after you enroll in the course. It will be available for download immediately after purchase.
With large diamonds, this is a great pattern to show off those “too pretty to cut up prints” so you can let your favorite fabric shine.
As usual, we walk you through every step of the block construction process. I also cover how to assemble the blocks into rows to create a wedge, and how to join the wedges into a quilt half so you know how to do every step of this quilt construction process.
